TOML to JSON — convert simple TOML configs to JSON

Paste everyday TOML tables and key/value lines to get indented JSON. Built for common configs — not a full TOML 1.0 parser with every edge case.

TOMLJSON

Converts as you type — paste or drop a file.

Input(TOML)
Output(JSON)

Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Many APIs and admin UIs want JSON while your repo still keeps a human-friendly TOML file. Pasting a small config here avoids installing another CLI just to reshape brackets.

Stick to tables, strings, numbers, booleans, and simple arrays. If a document relies on TOML date types or nested inline tables, trim it first or use a full TOML toolchain.

When you need YAML instead, jump to YAML to JSON. For classic Windows-style sections, try INI to JSON.

How to use

  1. Paste TOML
  2. Convert
  3. Copy the pretty JSON

Why this converter

  • Handles the table-and-scalar shapes most configs use
  • Returns indented JSON ready to paste
  • Pairs with a reverse JSON → TOML page

Good for

  • App config samples
  • CI snippet cleanup
  • Quick paste fixes

Tips

  • One key per line keeps the lightweight parser happiest.
  • Strip secrets before pasting production-like files.

Examples

Input Output Note
name = "demo" { "name": "demo" } —
[server] host = "127.0.0.1" port = 8080 { "server": { "host": "127.0.0.1", "port": 8080 } } Tables become nested objects

TOML FAQ

Need TOML again?
Use JSON to TOML for the reverse direction.
Is this full TOML 1.0?
No. Dates, tricky inline tables, and multiline literal strings are out of scope — keep configs simple.
Does anything leave my browser?
Conversion runs locally in the tab. Paste only samples you are comfortable viewing on your own machine.
